How to avoid wine leaking?

Before opening a bottle of wine, I found that the bottle of wine leaked before I opened it. I wiped it with a paper towel and found that the wine label and bottle had wine stains. This is the leakage mentioned above, so how to avoid it?

1. Avoid high temperature environment

Excessive temperature will increase the pressure in the bottle, which is prone to “plugging”, so the right temperature is very important. The ideal temperature for storing wine is 10℃-15℃, and it should not exceed 30℃ at most. Otherwise the wine will protest by leaking.

If you import wine in hot summer, you can choose to transport it in a constant temperature cabinet. Of course, in this way, the cost will be higher than ordinary transportation.

2. Avoid violent shocks

In the process of transportation, try to handle it with care. If possible, choose air or cold chain transportation as much as possible, so that the probability of liquid leakage will be small.

3. Horizontal placement

In a dry environment, corks become dry and lose their elasticity. Then we have to figure out how to keep the cork moist. First of all, don’t put it in a dry environment at least. The suitable humidity for wine is about 70%. You can measure the humidity with a hygrometer.

The second is to lay the wine on its back, i.e. let it lie flat. When the wine bottle is placed horizontally, the wine can fully infiltrate the cork to keep the cork moist and elastic; the cork with good humidity is not easy to dry and crack, which can prevent the cork from breaking when the bottle is opened.
